A pressure washer can be a unique piece of equipment for a variety of reasons. I assume you mean that it won t pull out all the way. Someone gave me a briggs stratton pressure washer choke o matic carb when i tried to pull the cord it won t even come out it is stuck. At times a pull start pressure washer can be very hard to start and when those times happen it can be very easy to break the pull cord.
One however can be a frustrating one for machine owners. This pressure washer had a stuck pull rope. If it does pull it a few times and see if there is any oil or gas blowing out of the spark plug hole. Remove the spark plug and then pull the starter rope to see if the engine spins.
If the starter rope won t budge when you try to pull it the engine may be locked up or the recoil starter may have failed. If you cannot pull the starter rope out i recommend pulling the trigger on the wand first. If that s the case remove the spark plug and see if it will pull all the way out as it should.
